The gang and I spent Wednesday evening in a lovefest haze of retro delights and a walk backwards into our collective past. Kicking off with an evening at Ronnie Scott to catch the delightful -for one night only- performance of Katrina Beckford as Bille Holliday in her Edinburgh success "God Bless the Child".

The whole evening cast a magical spell over our motley crew, so much so we went in search of more memories and cross the road to dine at Jimmy's in Frith Street, now in its 60th year and 10 years older than Ronnie's!

Not even the icy winds of London was able to penetrate the warm feeling of an evening spent with
good friends, with the assistance of a few bottles of mellow red wine.
